O splendor of a pearl, you rose supreme when you became my lord;
for my imam you shone—a full moon illuminating the Faith.
I do not congratulate you on the robes—know this:
rather, I congratulate the robes on having you, one after another.
If any robe of honor can adorn its wearer, then this is the one—
yet you adorned it, and it arrayed itself in splendor and pearls.
Indeed, whoever the Chief Judge favors
wins prestige and rank in the eyes of kings.
