نَداكَ هُوَ البَحرُ الخِضَمُّ لآمِلٍ
أَلَستَ تَراهُ الدَّهر يَلفِظُ بِالدُّرِّ
Your bounty is a boundless sea for everyone who hopes;
Do you not see it forever casting forth pearls?
وَقالوا نَدى كَفَّيكَ سُحبٌ هَواطِلٌ
أَما علِموا أَنَّ السَحابَ مِن البَحرِ
They said, “The bounty of your hands is rain-laden clouds.”
Did they not know that clouds come from the sea?
