An anklet appeared on her leg and on his
And her cheek was adorned by a mole
When I found her in a house of mine empty
I said, “have mercy on one fallen,” she said “yes, uncle”
And she revealed a cheek that stunned all who saw
A full moon appeared and the coolness of cheek faded
As if she were a branch in the garden with ripening dates
And don’t ask what happened with an ungenerous Nahid
