I have granted you the noblest gifts denied

And asked of you the easiest things to provide

Yet your reply leaves me in despair

While "yes" from you would let hope there reside

So grant me yes or no, my master

That this longing may find peace inside

Be it sweet relief or painful yearning

Tormenting me, my heart rapt and tied

I'll wait until fate brings what's deserved

And my love gets what he's bound to derive
