إذا عاتبتُهُ أو عاتبوه

شكا فعلي وعدَّدَ سيئاتي

If I reproached him or others reproached him

He complained about me and listed my wrongdoings

أيا مَن دَهرُهُ غَضَبٌ وسُخطٌ

أما أحسنتُ يوماً في حياتي

Oh you whose time is anger and wrath

Did I not do good one day in my life
