The cloud, heavy with rain, calls out:
The morning clouds call to the heedless:
O heedless ones—the morning draught!
“Awake, awake, O sleepers!”
And I replied, “Welcome, gladly welcome,
And I bid them welcome, for the spirit’s breath
so long as spirit remains in the body.”
Still stirs within this mortal frame of death.
