He is the dawn who greeted us with a smile
To dispel the gloom of darkness for us
And the morning gleamed to sweeten the cup of youth
As a lawful drink and sacrament of the cup of beauty
We sat in the shade of roseate cheeks
And musk of throats and parting of veils
We help the morn unveil
The mask of darkness with the light of wine
