  5. في خدودي لعبرتي نهر ماؤه كوثر

    يا اللموع الوشم الأفرق طال هجرك فرق

    O you whose beauty is transcendent, separation from you is unbearable

    You are matchless, like a gift never created before, you are the light of dawn

  6. أنت مثل هديت لم يخلق أنت نور الفلق

    أنت بدر التمام إذا أشرق في بهيم الغسق

    You are the full moon when it rises in the darkness of night

    In your eyes is magic for your lover, in them is charm

  7. في عيونك لعاشقك سحر وبها عنتر

    خال خدّيك منك في كافور

    The mole on your cheek is like camphor

    You are formidable in your glory like a sword

  8. وأنت في جند هيبتك سابور

    كلّ غالي لعشقك يا حور

  10. أنت في العشق آية الغزلان يا للموع الثمان

    كيف حتى فلت من رضوان من قصور الجنان

    How did you slip away from Heaven and its palaces?

    Is it your grace that makes you seek the Merciful and grants me safety?

  11. هل بفضلك تقصد الرحمن وتهب لي أمان

    ليل هجري كأنه شهر كيف لا أسهر

    My night of separation is like a month, how can I not stay up?

    O prince of singers, long has been the description of love for you

  12. يا أمير الغواني الصفح

    طال في وصف حبك الشرح

    So gain reward from the One praised

    I praise rhyme and prose, all gratitude

  13. فاغنم أجري بمن له المدح

    أحمد النظم فيه والنثر كله شكر

    Every hardship is eased by His grace. O people, be thankful.
