ناد القلوب لعلها

أن تستفيق لعلها

Call upon the hearts, perhaps

They may awaken, perhaps

فقلوبنا قد أسقيت

نهل للذنوب وعلها

For our hearts have been quenched

With a spring of sins, and upon them

تحيي بوبل غيوثكم

ان لم يكن فبطلها

Revive them with the rain of your mercy

If it were not for it, then nullify it

ان لم تداوى منكم

يا أهل الشفاء فمن لها

If you do not heal them

O people of healing, then who will heal them?

منوا عليها بالرضى

وبفتح مغلق قفلها

Be kind to them with contentment

And with opening the lock of their closure

بطلوع شمس رضاكم

سيزول غيهب جهلها

With the rising of the sun of your contentment

The darkness of their ignorance will dissipate

لما بدت شمس الرسل

نار الوجود لأهلها

When the sun of the messengers shone

The fire of existence was for its people

فبصائر أهل الاقتدا

والاهتدا يكشف لها

With the insights of the people of guidance

And proper path, it unveils for them

عنها فتنظر نورها

وبهاءها وجمالها

It unveils it so it can see its light

And its beauty and grace

وغدت خفافيش الهوى

لا يهتدون محلها

And the bats of passions became

Unable to find its place

ويكذبوا من يخبروا

عنها وينفوا فضلها

And they deny whoever informs them

About it and reject its virtue

حكماً وقفت حيثما

وقفت هناك عقولها

In judgment they stood wherever

They stood, there their minds stood

في العالم الحسيّ غا

ية علمها ونقولها

In the sensory world singing

Its knowledge and our words about it

لم تدر ما علم اليقي

ن ولا يمرّ ببالها

It did not know the knowledge of certitude

Nor does the thoughts cross its mind

وليس ذلك منقص

أمراً لهم لكمالها

That is not a deficiency

For them, for its perfection

ان القلةب إذا انجلى

بالذكر رين ضلالها

For when the heart becomes sincere

With remembrance, its misguidance vanishes

وتقدّست وتطهرت

عن خبثها أوغلها

And it becomes sanctified and purified

From its malice and depths

علمت حقيقة ما علي

ها في الكتاب وما لها

It knew the reality of what is upon

It in the Book and what is for it

ورقت من التقلير إلى

تحقيق صدق رسولها

It ascended from imitation to

The realization of the truth of its messenger

لو انكشفت عنها الغطا

ما زادها صدقاً لها

If the veil were removed from it

It would not increase it in its truth

يا ربّ إن قلوبنا

صدئت كثيراً فاجلها

O Lord, our hearts

Have rusted extensively, so remove it

وانقادهاوسواسها

وأوهامها وخيالها

And let its whisperings submit to it

And its imaginations and thoughts

فغدت تصدّق كاذباً

من مستحيل آمالها

So it came to believe a liar

From the impossibility of its hopes

وظهورنا بأوزارنا

كادت تئط لثقلها

And our appearance with our burdens

Almost fell from its weight

وبكم تناهت أزمة

ونسيم لطفك حلها

And with you the extremity of the crisis vanished

And the breeze of your kindness solved it

ولكم بدت من معضلا

ت فيض فضلك زالها

And with you solutions appeared

From dilemmas, the flow of your grace removed it

ولكم قلوب أبصرت

وقلوبنا أنى لها

And with you hearts saw

While our hearts, how can they see?

نرجو بحقّ محمد

يصلح قبيح فعالها

We hope by the right of Muhammad

To correct its ugly deeds

صلى عليه ربنا

ما عيس جدّ رحيلها

Bless him, our Lord

As long as the star bids farewell

إلى ضريح قد زهت

به يثرب وأهيلها

To the shrine which Medina and its surroundings

Became adorned with his body

فخررت بجسم محمد

طوبى لها طوبى لها

Blessed is it, blessed is it

What a wonderful spot

فيا لها من بقعة

حوت السيادة يا لها

That contained the sovereignty, oh what a spot

Its all spots became proud

فخرت بجميع بقاعها

من وعرها وسهلها

Whether rugged or smooth

And conclude with eternal peace

واختم سلاماً دائماً

بعد الصلاة وقبلها

After the prayer and before it

And return to your first words

وارجع لقولك أوّلا
