له حسن فاخر ريقه قد مزج بالعقار

قد زان بلور خدّه زهر ورده

Of splendid beauty, his saliva mixed with sugar

Adorned with pearls, his cheek a rose

وزان منضود برده لازورده

وزان في لين قدّه حسن ميده

His soft neck finer than beryl

Captivating all eyes, have mercy on a lover inflamed
