مسافرين أبلغوا عنا

من في تريم ألف وألفي سلام

Travelers, convey from us

To those in Tarim a thousand greetings

من قامته تشبه الغصنا

ومن جبينه كبدر التمام

Whose stature resembles a branch

And whose forehead is like the full moon

متمم الحسن والمعنى

سويجي الطرف قميري الحمام

The perfected beauty and meaning

Even of feature, tender of glance

والجسم من فرقته مضنى

وناظري ما تهنا منام

Though parted, my body yearns

And my eyes know no sleep

قولوا لمن قد برا حالي

لا يحسب أنا نسينا لقاه

Say to him whose state I have come to know

Let him not think I have forgotten our meeting

أفديه بالحال والمال

وليس مقصودي إلا رضاه

I would ransom him with my state and wealth

My only desire is his approval

واللَه أقسم ولا أبالي

ما حبّ حدّ في الخلائق سواه

By God I swear, and I do not care

If I love anyone among the creations but him

هو لب قلبي وهو اليمنى

من أعيني وهو مخ العظام

He is the heart of my heart, my right hand

The apple of my eye, the marrow of my bones

إن تم ذا الشوق في قلبي

يصبح عظيم ويمسي عظيم

If this longing in my heart is fulfilled

He will find me always magnificent

لا شك يزداد بي كربي

وشوق قلبي لظبية تريم

Undoubtedly, my sorrows will increase through him

And my heart's longing for the gazelle of Tarim

سألت في خلوتي ربي

يسقي تريما بوبل الزديم

In my solitude, I asked my Lord

To water Tarim with abundant rain

وتنجلي عنها الشحنا

بالعافيه بعد برء السقام

And to lift from her the adversity

With well-being, after the sickness has passed

نحن عزمنا إلى مكه

يا اخواننا ادعوا لنا بالمراد

We are resolved to Mecca

O brothers, pray for us to attain what we desire

بالخير والسعد والبركه

والعود إلى عندكم يا سعاد

Of goodness, joy, and blessing

And a return to you, O happiness

أنتم في النوم والحركه

معي وأنتم حلول العواد

You are with me in sleep and movement

O comfort of return

إن لفنا اللَه وإن عدنا

على نذر بشهر صيام

Whether God unites us or we come back

Upon a vow of fasting a month
