If one day I die, make my shroud
If I die one day, let my shroud be
If I die one day, make my shroud
of grapevine leaves, and my grave a winepress.
The leaves of vines and my grave a winepress.
Of vine leaves, and my grave a winepress.
Bury me, and bury the wine with me;
Bury me, bury the wind with me,
And bury me, and bury the wine with me,
and place the goblets around the tomb.
Place cups of wine all around my tomb.
And place the goblets around the graveyard.
For I hope that God, tomorrow,
I hope from God, after drinking wine,
For indeed, I hope from God tomorrow,
after my drinking wine, will grant gracious forgiveness.
I will be granted beautiful forgiveness.
After drinking wine, a gracious forgiveness.
