وفيهن سكرى اللحظ سكرى من الصبا

فعاتب حلو اللفظ حلو الشمائلِ

فعاتب حلو اللفظ حلو الشمائلِ

And among them is one whose glances are drunk, herself drunk with youth—

so chide her, though her speech is sweet and her ways are gracious.

She passed around among us, from the choice wine of her conversation,

goblets—and sang to us in the chiming voice of anklets.
