Your death relieved the envious and my enemies of me.
Your death has cured me of envy and malice
Your death has cured the enviers and enemies of me,
But they forgot me, and I found peace in their having come to their senses.
Yet they forget me, so I find relief from their herding
But they have forgotten me, and I found relief that they desisted.
Whenever I appeared, they strained their eyes toward me;
Whenever I set out, they stretch their eyes
Yet I was such that whenever I approached, they would stretch their eyes,
and if the world told my star, “Shine,” they howled.
And if the world told my star: "Shine!" - they would say "Blind him!"
And if the world said to my star, "Shine!", they would howl.
