O young leopard with no comforter
O child of Fahr, for them there is no consolation,
If you were the best of them, a youth
For you were indeed a chivalrous youth among their nobles.
Distance has veiled their eyes from you
Separation has veiled their eyes from seeing you,
But their hearts are drawn to you still
Yet it has turned their hearts fully towards you.
And glory, if it laments you among them
And Glory, were it to describe you amongst them,
Will lament you with only good words
Would characterize you with every fragrant virtue.
The living women increased their sorrow for you
It deepened the sorrow of the tribe's women for you,
Your maidens wept over your grave as they lamented
When your two bondmaids lamented beside the grave.
