ولما رأيت الهم ضربة لازم

على كل باد في الأنام وحاضر

When I saw worry was an inescapable blow

Upon every human, present and absent,

تيقنت ان الهم جزء مقوم

وما هو الا خامس للعناصر

I was certain that worry is an essential part

And nothing but the fifth element
