  1. A precious one, precious in pedigree,

    In East and West she unites two lineages.

  2. Possessed of beauty exquisite and peerless,

    Every eye yearns for the sight of her.

  3. Of gold a veil was fashioned for her,

    So behind an eye of gold she hid from every eye.

  4. Her pendulum is a child at Qur’an school,

    Reciting the juzʾ in two successive motions.
