ان جاء ما لا بدّ منه فما

عندي سوى التوحيد من زاد

If that which cannot be avoided should come, then

If what is inevitable comes, then all I have

I have no provision but the affirmation of God's oneness.

Is the proclamation of God's oneness as provision

ان الرجا يوصلني مأمني

ان الرجا يوصلني مأمني

ان اصبح الخوف بمرصاد

ان اصبح الخوف بمرصاد

Hope will bring me to my haven,

For hope will take me to my refuge

even if fear should lie in wait.

Though fear lies in ambush

آليت لا اصدى ومن عفوه

آليت لا اصدى ومن عفوه

لي منهل يروى به الصادي

لي منهل يروى به الصادي

I have sworn I shall not thirst, for in His pardon

I have vowed not to obey, but because of His pardon

I have a spring by which the thirsty are refreshed.

I have a spring that quenches the thirsty
