1. أهلا بيوم جرى بالسعد طائره

    واسفرت بالمنى منه بشائره

    A day of good fortune's bird flew by

    And gave glad tidings from it of good signs

  2. نالت به الملة الغراء ما طلبت

    فكل حرّ اريب قرّ ناظره

    The noble nation obtained what it sought

    So every freeman's eye was delighted

  3. نالت بعاشر تموز مطالبها

    الا فبورك من تموز عاشره

    It obtained its demands on the tenth of July

    Oh, blessed is the tenth of July!

  4. شموس عدل تجلت فيه صادعة

    ليلا من الجور اردتنا دياجره

    Suns of justice shone brightly in it

    Dispelling the darkness of injustice that cloaked us

  5. يوم غدا في جبين الدهر غرته

    فالدهر طلق منير الوجه زاهره

    A day whose dawn adorned the brow of time

    So time donned a face radiant and blooming

  6. يوم به نهض الإسلام واتحدت

    شعوبه وصفت طبعا عناصره

    A day in which Islam was revived and its people united

    Aligning their innate dispositions

  7. يوم به ورد الاحرار عن ظمأ

    وردا من الرشد قد طابت مصادره

    A day in which the free obtained cool water

    From a spring of righteousness, pure in its sources

  8. اراك تجحد عن علم لنا شرفا

    طلاع عينك في الدنيا مآثره

    I see you deny us glory out of ignorance

    Though the sights of your eyes are its landmarks

  9. أوج الرّقي قديماً كان منزلنا

    وربّ منزل أنس حن ذاكره

    The peak of ascension was once our abode

    And how many an abode of intimacy does memory recall!

  10. قد كان في الفلك الأعلى لنا وطن

    تحكى مساعينا فيه زواهره

    We had a home in the highest celestial sphere

    Its flourishing is told in our exploits

  11. نحن الأولى استنزلوا بالسيف قيصركم

    عن عرشه فانثنى والسيف قاهره

    We were the first to bring down your Caesar

    With the sword from his throne, so he bowed while the sword triumphed

  12. وسوف تعلم ما تيار عزمتنا

    إذا تلاطم بالأمواج زاهره

    You will come to know the force of our resolve

    When it collides with the billowing, swelling waves

  13. وأنت يا عاذلي في حب آنسة

    هذا هوى لك لا تبدو سرائره

    And you, my critic, in love with a charming lady

    This passion you show does not reveal its secrets

  14. خانتك عينك في معنى محاسنها

    فلمت صبّاً سليم اللب عاذره

    Your eyes have betrayed you in judging her beauty

    So you blamed, foolish and hasty, her faultless lover

  15. حرية لبست ثوب العفاف فما

    غير العفيف لها خل تسامره

    Freedom dressed in chaste robes so none

    But the indecent would find fault in her companion

  16. غيداء قد صانها القانون عن دنس

    من يضمر السوء فالقانون زاجره

    A maiden whom law protected from dishonor

    Whoever bears malice, the law deters him

  17. هبّت صبا البشر غب القطر نافحة

    من روض نعماء قد رفت ازاهره

    The youth of mankind were tempted by a land

    Where flowers bloomed in a blessed meadow

  18. فقام يسعى بكأس الراح مدهقة

    ساق اغن غضيض الطرف فاتره

    So they bustled about with cups of wine

    Enervating the zealous, weakening the firm

  19. قيد النواظر قدّ منه معتدل

    إذا تثنى بوشي الحسن ناضره

    It bound gazes, intoxicated yet composed

    When the beauty's robe fluttered, enticing

  20. يعطو بجيد ويرنو عن لواحظه

    فقل برمل الحمى عنت جآذره

    Bestowing generously, averting glances

    So few remained firm in the burning sands

  21. يا منية النفس قد طال الصدود فصل

    قد آن ان يصل المهجور هاجره

    Oh soul's wish, separation has been prolonged

    It is time the forsaken lover was reunited

  22. واعدل بنا يا مليك الحسن في زمن

    يذم فيه خلال الذم جاره

    Be just with us, O king of beauty, in a time

    When the censorious blame even his neighbor

  23. عصر العدالة زانته محاسنه

    كأنه الجيد زانته جواهره

    The age of justice, its beauty adorns it

    As if it were the necklace adorned by its gems

  24. عصر به قد سما أوج العلى ملك

    اغرّ مسبغ ظل العدل ناشره

    An age in which the height of nobility was reached by a king

    Who spread the shade of justice, abundant

  25. محمد الخامس المسعود طالعه

    اضحى به الملك معموراً دوائره

    Muhammad the Fifth, fortunate his rising

    By which the kingdom prospered in all its realms

  26. ملك به اعتضد الإسلام وانتصرت

    احرار ايران فالأسلام شاكره

    A king by whom Islam was strengthened and prevailed

    The free of Iran, so Islam thanks him

  27. مؤيد العزم منصور اللواء إذا

    رام العدو فان الله ناصره

    Resolute in determination, victorious in banner

    For God aids him when the enemy intends harm

  28. راعتهم سطوة من باسل صدعت

    قلب العدو على بعد زماجره

    Their courage astounded the enemy's hearts

    Even from afar by their ferocious attacks

  29. لو لم يدينوا لماضي الحكم غالهم

    يوم يسد الفضا حشدا عساكره

    Had they not been faithful to the rule of law that made them

    On a day when the horizon teems with his armies

  30. شعارهم عز دين الله فهو لهم

    شعار فتح فكم دارت دوائره

    Their creed is the might of God's religion

    A creed of conquest – how oft its cycles turned!

  31. فلتهنأ الملة العلياء بهجتها

    ونورها بسرور دام وافره

    So congratulations to the exalted nation in its joy

    and light, with lasting bliss and ample fortune

  32. واهنأ أبا أحمد فالبشر مقتبل

    والعيش مكتمل تزهو دساكره

    And congratulations to Abu Ahmad, for glad tidings have come

    and life is complete, with prosperity in its homes

  33. في مثل مجدك درّ الحمد منتظم

    يرتاح ناظمه شوقاً وناثره

    Praise befits your glory, arranged and flowing

    Satisfying its composer, scattering its sprinkler

  34. ان يذخر الوفر قوم لاخلاق لهم

    فالحمد خير نفيس أنت ذاخره

    That a people hoard abundance lacking morals

    Yet praise is the finest treasure you have stored

  35. إذا استهل ندى كفيك في بلد

    اغنى ثرى الأرض ان تهمى مواطره

    When the dew of your palm rains on a land

    It enriches the earth, should its clouds bear heavy rains

  36. وأنت من دوحة العلياء فرع علا

    نظير أوله في المجد آخره

    You are a branch, lofty and high

    Matchless in glory, foremost and peerless

  37. من طيب ذكرك في النادي يفوح شذى

    كما سرى من نسيم الروض عاطره

    The fragrance of your good name suffuses the club

    As the scent of the meadow spreads with its breeze

  38. جلا الظلام ضياء أنت موقده

    في جنح ليل ينال البشر ساهره

    You lit up the darkness, you are its kindling

    In the blackness of night giving people vigilance

  39. كأن زهر الدراري في الثرى نزلت

    ووجهك البدر باهي النور باهره

    As if the flowers of meadows descended to earth

    While your face is the radiant, beaming moon

  40. كأن غرّ السجايا منك قد سطعت

    نوراً يرد كليل الطرف ناظره

    As if the arrogance of mannerisms shone from you

    A light to dazzle the onlooker's eye

  41. بقيت في نعمة غرّاء مونقد

    تبقى وعيش يروق العين زاهره

    You remain in abundant grace, adorned

    Remaining as life gratifies, blooming
