عليك بحسن الصبر فالصبر منحة

من الله ان الله جم مواهبه

Have patience, patience is a gift

From God, God has abundant gifts

فأيسر ما في الصبر تنفيس كربة

وتفريج غم تعتريك غواربه

The easiest in patience is unburdening sorrow

And relieving the grief that befalls you

وليس بمغن عنك بث وعبرة

وشكوى زمان لا ترد نوائبه

Neither complaining nor lamenting benefit you

Nor complaining about a time that does not return your calamities

واعظم رزء فقد اصطباره

وان كثرت ارزاؤه ومصائبه

The greatest loss is losing patience

No matter how numerous its afflictions and tribulations

ومن جد في أمر يعز طلابه

ينل بجميل الصبر ما هو طالبه

Whoever perseveres in a difficult matter

Will attain, with beautiful patience, what he seeks
