اشرق نور القمر الزاهر

سبط النبي المصطفى الطاهر

The moon's radiant light has dawned

The grandson of the pure chosen Prophet

يا ليلة قرت بها كل عين

حين ارتنا ثاني الفرقدين

Oh night in which every eye was delighted

When we saw the second of the two grandchildren

في صبحها اشرق نور الحسين

بدر الهدى بحر الندى الزاخر

In its dawn, the light of Husayn shone

The full moon of guidance, the abundant sea of dew

فالعيش غض بهج مورق

وكوكب السعد لنا مشرق

So life became fresh and bright

And the star of fortune shone for us

وروض آمال الورى مونق

طابت مجاني روضه الناضر

The garden of hopes of all people flourished

Its sides blossomed in your luminous dawn

هز له الإسلام أعطافه يشكر

للخالق الطافه

Islam swayed its shoulders in gratitude

To the Circumambulator

هذا الذي أنزل أوصافه

في الذكر فيه بهجة الذاكر

He who sent down His attributes

In the Remembrance is the joy of the rememberer

من معدن اللطف بصنع حكيم

لاح لنا جوهر مجد صميم

From the essence of kindness, by the work of the Wise

A core of solid glory shone for us

ذلك تقدير العزيز العليم

فجل صنع الملك القادر

Such is the decree of the Almighty, the Knowing

So perfect is the work of the Capable King

بشائر دارت بقداحها

فاهدت الروح لارواحها

Tidings circulated with their cups

Reviving the soul for its soul

يا ليلة عمت بافرادها

كل الهنا في صبحك السافر

Oh night that encompassed with its individuals

All our joy in your shining dawn

هذا سليل المرتضى حيدر

ساقي الورى من سلسل الكوثر

This is the grandson of Murtaza, Haydar

Quencher of the souls from the river of Kawthar

يا شيعة الحق الا فابشري

بالحشر في حب بني الحاشر

Oh party of truth, receive good news

Of gathering in the love of the Intercessors

اجابة الدعوة في قبته

كذا شفاء الداء في تربته

Answering the call is in His dome

Just as healing the illness is in His soil

والعفو والغفران في زورته

فالبشر للوافد والزائر

And pardon and forgiveness is in His visit

So give glad tidings to the visitor and pilgrim

وعترة المختار ساداتنا

بحبهم تقبل طاعاتنا

And the Prophet's chosen family are our masters

Through loving them, our deeds are accepted

وفيهم تنجح حاجاتنا

فهم اجل الذخر للذاخر

And through them, our needs are successful

For they are the greatest treasure for the rewarded

من كان في نهج الولا مستقيم

فقد اتى الله بقلب سليم

Whoever is steadfast on the path of loyalty

Has come to God with a pure heart

وفاز بالجنة دار النعيم

ولم يخف من زلة العاثر

And won the Garden, home of bliss

And does not fear the stumbling of the transgressor

فعيش من والاهم ناعم

وكل من عاداهم نادم

So the life of their loyal ones is pleasant

And every opponent of theirs regrets

ليس من الله له عاصم

بعداً له من خائب خاسر

There is no protector for them from God

Away with them, losers and deprived

بالله اسياقي كاس الطلا

لا تسقني غير كؤوس الولا

By God, pour me a cup of liquor

Give me only cups of loyalty

وانشد الشعر الذي قد حلا

وقل رعاك الله من شاعر

And recite the poetry that has dissolved

And say, may God protect you, oh poet

هذا ثنائي والنظام البديع

تزهو كما يزهو رياض الربيع

This is my composition and excellent structure

Blossoming like the gardens of spring

أودعت در النظم بحر السريع

يهدى إلى بحر الندى الوافر

I have placed in the pearl of verse, the abundant sea

Guided to the sea of dew that flows
