خَبِّرينا خُصِّصتِ يا دَوحُ بِالعَت

بِ بِصِدقٍ وَالصِدقُ فيهِ شِفاءُ

Tell us, O Dowh, you are devoted to love

With truthfulness, and truthfulness in it is healing

هَل يَموتُ المُحِبُّ مِن أَلَمِ الحُب

بِ وَهَل يَنفَعُ المُحِبَّ اللِقاءُ

Does the lover die from the pain of love?

And does meeting benefit the lover?
