Did you not see me praising God that I
Recovered, and he cured me with his kindness?
Marwan tended me before him
So my advice and thanks to him were sincere
Thus every year he lives virtuously
I make, for the Lord of the Worlds, a vow
When Abu Marwan leaves his place
The world will not be pleasant, nor rain fall
People will not rejoice in births among them
Nor on earth remain anything of value
It's not the seas you tell me of
Rather, Abu Marwan is the ocean, a man he is the sea
