O intimate friend of my heart, the sea of longing flows freely

My heart, Khailil, is an ocean of longing set loose

toward you, as long as caravans journey amid lively clamor.

Towards you, unrestrained as the caravans in migration

فخذ تحيّة مشتاق لحضرتكم

May your good fortune remain joined to al-ʿAyyūq,

May your fortune at Al-Uyun remain forever connected

and the ascendant of whoever opposes you remain in Saturn.

And may the fortunes of those hostile to you remain in decline
