ضَرَبَ السَّعدُ عَلى القا

دِم بالسَّعدِ خِيامَه

The Saad tribe pitched their tents at the meadow

And decided to settle there for some time

وأدارَ الرَّأيَ ما بَي

نَهما رَأيَ الإقامَه

The first glow of dawn bears witness

To his generosity, it is a clear sign

تَشهدُ اللَّمحةَ مِنهُ

بالنَّدى وهيَ قَسامَه

Like lightning that shows the way

To the direction of the clouds

وكذا الجودُ لَه في

أوجُهِ النَّاسِ عَلامَه

Congratulations on what you have been endowed with

O son of Salama

كَوَميضِ البَرقِ إذ دَل

لَ عَلى صَوبِ الغَمامَه

فهنيئاً لكَ ما خُوِّل

تَهُ يا ابن سَلامَه
