1. Father of Mustafa, you have wed your brother amid goodness and joy,

    and in his wedding you have attained all you wished for.

  2. You arranged his marriage and his happiness most graciously,

    and have ever been devoted to the noble, doing good.

  3. You proclaimed the celebrations in every place,

    until it became a ceremony announced with delights.

  4. Indeed, O master of noble deeds and lofty rank,

    you displayed exquisite artistry in gracious action.

  5. A herald of happiness called us to the festivities,

    proclaiming joy among us, openly and aloud.

  6. What an excellent brother—may you be congratulated on his marriage!

    Truly, by God, in him happiness is yours.

  7. God-fearing, pure, spotless, and the son of one spotless,

    his beacon of glory rises high, its structure firm.

  8. Your eyes delight in him, as a child and as a youth,

    and in him your fairest hopes become certainty.

  9. For one like him, the verses pour forth their song,

    and the nobles’ spearheads speak his praise.

  10. The great acknowledge the excellence issuing from a young man

    who long ago made good works his constant way,

  11. that God might reveal in him the hidden virtues of his forefather.

    The radiance within him has already shone before all eyes.

  12. A rising sign of leadership gleams upon him—

    do you not see him, manifest in glory and plainly distinguished?

  13. Whenever a rising star of honor lays claim to glory,

    it offers from its radiance a manifest proof.

  14. The Lord gifted him to you as a brother, and you loved him;

    the Lord bestowed him generously upon you and dealt most graciously.

  15. So give thanks for what you have been granted and provided,

    for gratitude for blessings is the finest treasure.

  16. Here he is, a branch flourishing through the goodness of its root;

    through him, my lord, the fruit of hopes is gathered.

  17. May you remain gladdened at heart by one like him,

    reading in him the bird of fortune as a most auspicious omen.

  18. In all that you hope God will grant you,

    a well-wisher prayed for you with congratulations and said amen.

  19. Through your bounty I have no need of anyone else;

    may those who hope never be denied the riches of your generosity.
