نقيبُ السَّادة الأَشراف زَانتْ
بطَلْعَتِهِ المنازلُ والقصورُ
The Chief of the Sayyids, of noble lineage—fair grew
at his appearing, the mansions and the palaces.
بنى مقصورةً شَرُفَتْ بناءً
أُعِدَّتْ بالسُّرور لمن يزورُ
He built a pavilion, noble in its making;
it was made ready with joy for whoever visits.
فقلتُ لسيِّد النُّقباء أرِّخ
مبانيها يشرِّفُها المشيرُ
Then I said to the master of the naqibs, “Compose its chronogram:
‘The Mushir ennobles its halls.’”
