وغادةٍ لو بروحي بعتُ رؤيتَها
لكنْتُ والله فيها غيرَ مغبونِ
And a graceful maiden—were I to barter my soul for the sight of her,
By God, I would not be cheated in the bargain.
ما البَدر والغصن أحلى من شمائلها
كأَنَّها من بَناتِ الحُور والعينِ
Neither the full moon nor the slender bough is lovelier than her graces;
She seems to be one of the wide-eyed maidens of Paradise.
