  1. تَبَارَكَ من بَراكَ ابنَ المُبارَكْ

    وَزادَك من مواهبه وبارَكْ

    Blessed is he who blessed you, son of the blessed one

    And increased you in gifts and blessed you

  2. مكانةَ رفعةٍ وعلوَّ قدرٍ

    يزيد به علاءك واقتدارك

    With a station of highness and grandeur

    That adds to your eminence and authority

  3. وأبقاك الإِله غمام جودٍ

    لمن يظما فيستسقي قطارك

    May God keep you a rain cloud of generosity

    For whoever seeks shade, your downpour quenches his thirst

  4. رأيتك مورد الآمال طرًّا

    فها أنا لم أرِدْ إلاَّ بحارك

    I saw you as a spring of hopes gushing forth

    You disdain wealth’s delicacies in your generosity

  5. تُهينُ نفائسَ الأَموال بذلاً

    ولم تعبأ بها وتعزُّ جارك

    And care not for it, preferring your neighbor

    Your protection is protection from what is feared

  6. حماك هو الحمى ممَّا يحاشى

    تجير من الخطوب مَن استجارك

    You give refuge from calamities to those who seek your refuge

    You are the elite of all nobles among us

  7. وإنَّك صفوة النجباء فينا

    وإنَّك خيرة لمن استخارك

    You are the best of those who seek your guidance

    You were raised obedient to the Master, humble

  8. نشأت بطاعة المولى منيباً

    وتقوى الله ما برحت شعارك

    And fearing God—this remained your motto

    Avoiding what goes against piety

  9. تجنّبك الَّتي تأبى تقاة

    عَقَدْتَ على العفاف بها إزارك

    You belted yourself with chastity against it

    You outshine the full moon in your beauty

  10. تعير البدرَ من محياك حُسناً

    كأَنَّ البدر طلعتَه استعارك

    As if the moon borrowed its rising from you

    You took to good deeds, judging

  11. أَخَذْتَ بصالح الأَعمال تقضي

    بأمر الله ليلَك أو نهارك

    By God’s command, your night or your day

    Answering those who call upon you without delay

  12. مجيباً من دَعاكَ ولا أناة

    أثارك للمكارم مَن أثارك

    Your generosity stirs whoever rouses it

    No noble ever caught up to you

  13. ولا لحقتك يوم سبقتَ نجبٌ

    بمكرمةٍ ولا شقَّتْ غبارك

    With a generosity or raised as much dust as you

    You were too lofty for praise from the righteous

  14. أَغَرْتَ على الثناء من البرايا

    وقد أبْعَدْتَ يومئذٍ منارك

    On that day you distanced your minaret

    Goodness flowed and settled, thanks to you

  15. لقد طابت بفضلك واستقرَّت

    بك الأرض الَّتي كانت قرارك

    In the land which you made your dwelling

    And rightly so, when it boasts and triumphs,

  16. وحقَّ لها إذا فخرت وباهت

    ديارٌ رُحْتَ توليها افتخارك

    The home you chose to pride itself upon

    Your magnanimity always flows

  17. سماحك لا يزالُ لمستميح

    من العافين جاهك واعتبارك

    For your position and stature among the virtuous

    You are a ripe, fruitful palm tree

  18. وإنَّك دوحة بسقت وطالت

    جنى الجانون يانعة ثمارك

    Whose bounty flows, so fresh are your fruits

    All with glory share in glory

  19. يُشاركُ كلّ ذي مجد بمجد

    ومجدك في الحقيقة لا يُشارك

    But your glory in truth cannot be shared

    Time committed a grave sin

  20. ودهرٌ قد جنى ذنباً عظيماً

    فلما قيل هل تلقي اعتذارك

    But when asked, will you accept its apology?

    You forgave its sin with your nobility

  21. تدارك ذنبَه بعلاك حتَّى

    غفرنا ذنْبَه فيما تدارك

    So we forgave its sin in what you repaired

    And Abu Al-Khasib pleases me

  22. وإنَّ أبا الخصيب يروق عندي

    لأنك فيه قد شيَّدْتَ دارك

    For in it you built your house

    I visit you, my lord, every year

  23. أزورك سيِّدي في كلّ عام

    فلا أنأى عن الدَّاعي مزارك

    Never far from your shrine that calls me

    I awaited the valleys’ flooding

  24. وإنِّي قد ترقَّبت الغوادي

    ووابلها ترقَّبت ازديارك

    And their flooding, your blossoming, I awaited

    I witnessed the sights of bliss in them

  25. شَهِدْتُ مشاهد النعماء فيها

    فلا شاهدت في الدُّنيا بوارك

    But never witnessed in life, your like
