يُكْثِرُ بالتَّعْنيف والشَّيْنِ

I say to the gloater, when he began

I say to the gloating one when he begins

to heap upon me rebuke and disgrace:

To heap reproach and blame upon me,

ألَيْسَ يكفيني فخاراً وقد

ألَيْسَ يكفيني فخاراً وقد

أصْبَحْتُ في قيدِ وَزيرين

أصْبَحْتُ في قيدِ وَزيرين

Is it not glory enough for me that

Is it not enough for me, that I can boast

I have come to be held in the bonds of two viziers?

I'm chained in fetters to two ministers?
