This is the ship; “Opening of Good” is the name she bears.
This ship is named "Opener of Good"
Rejoice—for her glad tidings of good things are glad tidings for you.
So rejoice, for it brings you blessings galore
Good fortune and ease are joined at her two ends;
Good omens adorn its sides equally
good fortune and ease are her right side and her left.
Bringing favor and ease alike in its store
When Salman bought her, before he had seen her,
When Suleiman saw it, though not before
then she arrived, her beauty delighted all who saw her.
He bought it, amazed by its beauty so pure
Should the ships of the sea race her, she outstrips them,
Ships racing the seas try to reach the shore
and there, with her stern, she passes the foremost of them.
But it surpasses them all, of this be sure
So if they sail—and if you set their date in verse—say:
If sailing or anchored, say this verse
“She sails, and her course has come to be in the name of God.”
"In God's name" - and safe passage will endure
