The herd's gazelle—nearness to her brought us to life.
Sometimes closeness comes from the herd of gazelles
In that nearness we delighted in attaining union at times.
Sometimes we rejoice in attaining union

Die, O my reproacher, and taste anguish at times!
Die, O my blamer, and taste subjugation sometimes
And see the coyness of my heart's desire if the yearning lover embraces her:
And look closely at my languishing if yearning has embraced it
