لَكَ الحَمد يا مُستَوجب الحَمد وَالثَنا

لَكَ الحَمد يا مُستَوجب الحَمد وَالثَنا

وَيا مَن بِنا فَقر لَهُ وَلَهُ الغِنى

وَيا مَن بِنا فَقر لَهُ وَلَهُ الغِنى

Praise is Yours, O You who deserve praise and acclaim.

You deserve all praise, O You Who merits all praise and thanks!

And O You, whom we need, while You are self-sufficient.

O You on Whom we depend, though You have no needs!

إِلَيكَ اِلتَجَأنا في الشَدائد فَاِنمَحَت

إِلَيكَ اِلتَجَأنا في الشَدائد فَاِنمَحَت

وَكانَ لَنا في بابك الأَمن وَالمُنى

وَكانَ لَنا في بابك الأَمن وَالمُنى

To You we turned for refuge in hardships, so they vanished.

In hardships we sought refuge in You, and they disappeared.

And at Your door we found safety and what we wished for.

In Your grace we found safety and comfort.

قَصَدناك في كُلّ الأُمور فَلَم يَخب

قَصَدناك في كُلّ الأُمور فَلَم يَخب

بِجَدواك يا رَبّ البَريّة قَصدنا

بِجَدواك يا رَبّ البَريّة قَصدنا

We sought You in every matter and never failed

We sought You in all matters, and were not disappointed

In our quest, through Your bounty, O Lord of creation.

By Your generosity, O Lord of all creation!

وَهبت لَنا عوداً لِأَوطاننا الَّتي

وَهبت لَنا عوداً لِأَوطاننا الَّتي

بِفَضلك ما زالَت مَعاقل عزِّنا

بِفَضلك ما زالَت مَعاقل عزِّنا

You granted us a return to our homelands, which

You granted us restoration to our homelands which,

By Your grace have remained strongholds of our glory.

By Your grace, remained bastions of our might.

تَكرَّمت بِالحُسنى وَألهمت شُكرَها

تَكرَّمت بِالحُسنى وَألهمت شُكرَها

فَشُكراً عَلى شُكرٍ وَلا زِلت مُحسِنا

فَشُكراً عَلى شُكرٍ وَلا زِلت مُحسِنا

You bestowed goodness and inspired gratitude for it.

You have honored us with goodness and inspired gratitude,

So thanks for gratitude, and may You ever remain beneficent.

So thanks upon thanks! You remain ever beneficent.
