ياO أَميراًprince حازَattained غاياتutmost heights العُلىeminence
يا أَميراً حازَ غايات العُلى
وَاِقتَدىand followed the example مِنهاfrom them بِخَيرby the best of السَلَفِforebears
وَاِقتَدى مِنها بِخَير السَلَفِ
O prince who attained the utmost heights of eminence,
O prince who attained the highest goals
And therein emulated the best of forebears.
And followed the example of the virtuous ancestors,
أَنتَyou ذوpossessor of مَجدٍglory وَلَكنand yet أَرّخواrecord the date
أَنتَ ذو مَجدٍ وَلَكن أَرّخوا
سُنَّةtradition الهاديthe Guide كَمالperfection الشَرَفِhonor
سُنَّة الهادي كَمال الشَرَفِ
You possess glory, yet record the date:
You possess glory, but they recorded
The Guide's tradition is the perfection of honor.
The way of the guide, the perfection of nobility.
