O noble ones, is there any comparison, in your eyes,

between a fluent, eloquent speaker and a mute?

أَم قَولُكُم هَذا سُكوتٌ خامل

أَم قَولُكُم هَذا سُكوتٌ خامل

كَمقالكم هَذاك بلبل مَجلسِ

كَمقالكم هَذاك بلبل مَجلسِ

Or is your saying, “This one is silent and obscure,”

like your saying, “That one is the nightingale of the gathering”?
