May rain water a grave in which one of the rightly guided rests—
The rain watered a grave, made pure by guidance's folk,
An imam who had stood firm in fulfilling God's command.
An imam by Allah's command, who had stood steadfast,

He reaped the sweet fruits of virtue and knowledge,
He had reaped fruits of nobility and knowledge bountiful,
And he fasted from what lay in people's hands.
And had fasted from what was in people's hands,
