لاحَت لَنا كَالشَمس في الرابعه
In blue eyes I see a wisdom
In the blue eyes I see wisdom
That shone before us like the sun in the fourth heaven.
That shone for us like the sun at four o'clock
لأَجلfor the sake of صونsafeguarding الحسنbeauty كانَتthey were لَهُfor it
لأَجل صون الحسن كانَت لَهُ
كَالحرزlike a talisman مِنagainst أَعيُنِناour eyes الخادِعَهdeceitful
كَالحرز مِن أَعيُنِنا الخادِعَه
To safeguard beauty, they served it
To preserve beauty they became for it
As a talisman against our deceitful eyes.
Like a refuge from our deceitful eyes
ياO حسنbeauty ألحاظٍof glances غَدتhave become للبهاfor splendor
يا حسن ألحاظٍ غَدت للبها
جامعةًencompassing وَهيَwhile they are لَهُfor it مانِعَهprotective
جامعةً وَهيَ لَهُ مانِعَه
How lovely the glances that, for splendor, have become
O beauty of glances that have become for splendor
All-embracing, while also protecting it.
A university while it is preventing it
