أُشبّهُI liken بِالكَواكبto the stars كُلّevery خودٍfair maiden
أُشبّهُ بِالكَواكب كُلّ خودٍ
وَيُعجبنيand delights me اِجتِماعthe meeting الفرقدينِof the two Farqad stars
وَيُعجبني اِجتِماع الفرقدينِ
I liken them—every fair maiden—to the stars.
I liken every fair maiden to the stars,
And the conjunction of the two Farqads delights me.
and the meeting of the two Farqad stars delights me.

And in the beautiful valley, my father is handsome.
And in the lovely valley of Abu Jamil,
By your honor, I have seen them both with my own eyes.
by your honor, I have indeed seen them both with my own eye.
