نَظِّفcleanse القَلبthe heart مِنof الشَكّdoubt وَلاand do not
نَظِّف القَلب مِن الشَكّ وَلا
تَترُكleave القَلبthe heart بِلاwithout تَنظيفهcleansing it
تَترُك القَلب بِلا تَنظيفه
Purify the heart of doubt, and do not
Cleanse the heart of doubt, and do not
leave the heart uncleansed.
Leave the heart without cleansing it.
وَاِنظُرand behold السرّthe secret الَّذيthat فيهِwithin it اِختَباlay hidden
وَاِنظُر السرّ الَّذي فيهِ اِختَبا
كَمhow many مريدa seeker حارwas baffled فيin تَعريفهdefining it
كَم مريد حار في تَعريفه
Behold the secret that lies hidden within it—
And behold the secret hidden within it—
how many a spiritual seeker has been bewildered trying to define it.
How many a seeker has been baffled in defining it!
