يا مَن تَنزَّه عَن إِبن وَوالِدةٍ

يا مَن تَنزَّه عَن إِبن وَوالِدةٍ

وَمَن حَباني مِنهُ كُلَّ فائِدَةٍ

وَمَن حَباني مِنهُ كُلَّ فائِدَةٍ

O You who are exalted above having a son or a mother,

O You who transcends having a son or daughter

And who have bestowed on me every benefit from Yourself,

And has granted me all benefit from Him

اِصرف إِلهي عَنّي شَرّ عائِدةٍ

اِصرف إِلهي عَنّي شَرّ عائِدةٍ

يا مَن أَياديهِ عِندي غَيرُ واحدةٍ

يا مَن أَياديهِ عِندي غَيرُ واحدةٍ

Turn away from me, my God, the harm of any returning affliction.

Divert from me, my God, the harm of what returns

O You whose favors toward me are not just one,

O You whose bounties upon me are beyond count

وَمَن مَواهبه تَنمو عَن العَدَدِ

وَمَن مَواهبه تَنمو عَن العَدَدِ

أَدعوكَ يا رَبِّ وَالأَعداءُ واثِبة

أَدعوكَ يا رَبِّ وَالأَعداءُ واثِبة

And whose gifts increase beyond counting,

And whose gifts grow beyond number

I call upon You, O my Lord, while enemies leap

I call upon You, my Lord, while enemies lie in wait for me

عَليَّ بَغياً وَلي بِالسوء طالِبَةٌ

عَليَّ بَغياً وَلي بِالسوء طالِبَةٌ

يا مَن نَجاتي بِهِ وَالنَفس ذاهِبَةٌ

يا مَن نَجاتي بِهِ وَالنَفس ذاهِبَةٌ

Upon me unjustly, and seek to do me harm.

Seeking to do me evil, and calamities befall me

O You through whom I am saved as my soul departs,

O You through whom is my salvation, while my soul is departing

ما نابَني مِن زَماني قَطُّ نائِبَةٌ

ما نابَني مِن زَماني قَطُّ نائِبَةٌ

ألا وَجدتك فيها آخِذاً بِيَدي

ألا وَجدتك فيها آخِذاً بِيَدي

No calamity has ever befallen me in my days

Never in my time has an affliction befallen me

Without my finding You in it, taking me by the hand.

Without finding You taking me by the hand
