الاِتّحاد كان

Under the ascendant of good fortune,

The alliance came to be;

لِلنَصر وَالتَأييد

لِلنَصر وَالتَأييد

قَد وَفّق الرَحمَن

قَد وَفّق الرَحمَن

For victory and support,

The All-Merciful granted success.

طَلائع الأَفراحِ

طَلائع الأَفراحِ

بِالفَوز وَالنَجاح

بِالفَوز وَالنَجاح

The heralds of joy,

With triumph and success,

قَد بشّرت يا صاح

قَد بشّرت يا صاح

بِنُصرة السُلطان

بِنُصرة السُلطان

Have brought glad tidings, O friend,

Of the Sultan's victory.

سُلطاننا الوَحيدِ

سُلطاننا الوَحيدِ

ذي الطالع السَعيدِ

ذي الطالع السَعيدِ

Our peerless Sultan,

Of fortunate ascendant,

بَدر المُلوك الصيدِ

بَدر المُلوك الصيدِ

Full moon among majestic kings,

Abd al-Majid Khan.

حامي زِمام المُلكِ

حامي زِمام المُلكِ

ماحي ظَلام الشَكِّ

ماحي ظَلام الشَكِّ

Guardian of sovereignty's reins,

Dispeller of doubt's darkness,

غازي حُصون الإفكِ

غازي حُصون الإفكِ

مهدِّم الأَركان

مهدِّم الأَركان

Assailant of falsehood's fortresses,

Demolisher of the pillars.

يا رَبّ بِالإِسعاد

يا رَبّ بِالإِسعاد

وَالعَون وَالإِمداد

وَالعَون وَالإِمداد

O Lord, with good fortune,

And aid and reinforcement,

ظَفّره بِالأَعادي

ظَفّره بِالأَعادي

يا واهب الإِحسان

يا واهب الإِحسان

Grant him victory over the enemies,

O Giver of goodness.

لراحة العِبادِ

لراحة العِبادِ

وَالحُبّ وَالودادِ

وَالحُبّ وَالودادِ

For the people's comfort,

And love and affection,

بِأَحسَن اِتحادِ

بِأَحسَن اِتحادِ

عزّ المَعالي صان

عزّ المَعالي صان

Through the finest alliance,

He safeguarded the glory of lofty attainments.

لِلّه سرٌّ بادي

لِلّه سرٌّ بادي

بِعَسكر الجِهادِ

بِعَسكر الجِهادِ

God has a secret made manifest

In the army of jihad:

يصول كَالآساد

يصول كَالآساد

يَنقضُّ كَالعقبان

يَنقضُّ كَالعقبان

It charges like lions,

It swoops like eagles.

وَالعَسكَر المَجيدي

وَالعَسكَر المَجيدي

قَد قامَ كَالأُسودِ

قَد قامَ كَالأُسودِ

And the Majidi army

Has risen like lions,

مُجاوز الحُدودِ

مُجاوز الحُدودِ

لِحَومة المَيدان

لِحَومة المَيدان

Crossing the frontiers

Into the thick of the battlefield.

أَعلامه في البَحرِ

أَعلامه في البَحرِ

قَد أَعلَنَت بِالنَصرِ

قَد أَعلَنَت بِالنَصرِ

His banners at sea

Have proclaimed victory,

وَفَوق أَهل الغَدرِ

وَفَوق أَهل الغَدرِ

قَد أضرمَت نيران

قَد أضرمَت نيران

And over the treacherous

Have kindled fires.

جُيوشه القَويّه

جُيوشه القَويّه

بِالحَزم وَالحَميّه

بِالحَزم وَالحَميّه

His mighty armies,

With determination and zeal

وَالهمّة العَليّه

وَالهمّة العَليّه

حازَت عَظيم الشان

حازَت عَظيم الشان

And lofty resolve,

Have attained great distinction.

قَد أَقبَلَوا في البرّ

قَد أَقبَلَوا في البرّ

بِقُوّةٍ كَالبَحرِ

بِقُوّةٍ كَالبَحرِ

They have advanced on land,

With strength like the sea,

تَجرّ حزب القَهرِ

تَجرّ حزب القَهرِ

عَلى ذوي العُدوان

عَلى ذوي العُدوان

Drawing the host of subjugation

Against the aggressors.

كَم قَلعة وسورِ

كَم قَلعة وسورِ

دكّت كَدكّ الطورِ

دكّت كَدكّ الطورِ

How many a fortress and wall

They crushed as Mount Sinai was crushed!

وَحانَ نفخ الصورِ

وَحانَ نفخ الصورِ

في عُصبة الطغيان

في عُصبة الطغيان

And the hour came for the trumpet's blast

Amid the band of tyranny.

وَالخَصم ذو البُهتان

وَالخَصم ذو البُهتان

قَد صارَ كَالحَيرانِ

قَد صارَ كَالحَيرانِ

And the foe, given to slander,

Has become like one bewildered;

غرَّتهُ بِالأَماني

غرَّتهُ بِالأَماني

وَساوس الشَيطان

وَساوس الشَيطان

He was beguiled with hopes

By Satan's whisperings.

فازَ بِحَمدٍ نامي

فازَ بِحَمدٍ نامي

عَساكر الإِسلامِ

عَساكر الإِسلامِ

Ever-growing praise has been won

By the armies of Islam;

وَالكُلّ في الإِقدامِ

وَالكُلّ في الإِقدامِ

عِندَ اللقا شُجعان

عِندَ اللقا شُجعان

And all, in bold advance,

Are brave at the encounter.

مشيرنا ذو القَدرِ

مشيرنا ذو القَدرِ

مَحمود هَذا العَصرِ

مَحمود هَذا العَصرِ

Our marshal, of high standing,

Mahmud of this age,

بِمَجدِهِ وَالفَخر

بِمَجدِهِ وَالفَخر

يَسمو عَلى كيوان

يَسمو عَلى كيوان

With his glory and pride,

Rises above Saturn.

هَذا وَحيد الذات

هَذا وَحيد الذات

بِالوَصف وَالصِفاتِ

بِالوَصف وَالصِفاتِ

This man is peerless in essence,

In description and qualities;

لَهُ مَدى الأَوقات

لَهُ مَدى الأَوقات

عَونٌ مِن المنّان

عَونٌ مِن المنّان

For him, throughout all time,

There is aid from the Bestower of Favors.
