In the sun’s full glare the old men sat.
The elders sat in the sun's eye
And their elder said to them, “Settle down.”
And the oldest bid them rest

Their constitution, cold as the ghoul’s eye,
Their nature like the ghoul's cold eye
Holds firm in the sun’s full glare and does not abate.
In the sun's eye it stands fast, does not shy
