حمى السيّد البكري حمى من به احتمى

وسُلَّمُ من قد رام للسلم سُلّما

وسُلَّمُ من قد رام للسلم سُلّما

The sanctuary of Sayyid al-Bakri protects whoever seeks refuge in him.

The refuge of al-Sayyid al-Bakri is a refuge in which one seeks protection,

And is a ladder for whoever has sought a ladder to peace.

And a ladder for whoever desires to climb the ladder of peace.

أجلّ بني الصدّيق درّةُ عقدهم

أجلّ بني الصدّيق درّةُ عقدهم

بسلك سلوك السرّ أمسى منظّما

بسلك سلوك السرّ أمسى منظّما

The noblest of al-Siddiq's sons, the pearl of their necklace,

The most eminent of the sons of al-Siddiq is the jewel of their necklace,

He has been strung on the thread of wayfaring into the mystery.

Having become organized on the path of treading the way of mystery.

له الحضرة الزلفى له المشهد الّذي

له الحضرة الزلفى له المشهد الّذي

سما في ذرى التقريب من سامك السما

سما في ذرى التقريب من سامك السما

His is the presence of nearness; his the station of witnessing that

For him is the noble court, for him is the station which

Has risen to the heights of nearness bestowed by the Raiser of heaven.

Rose loftily in the particles of approximation, from the sky.

له المورد الأصفى ولله درّه

له المورد الأصفى ولله درّه

لمنهاجه أضحى بصدقٍ ميمّما

لمنهاجه أضحى بصدقٍ ميمّما

His is the purest fount—how admirable he is!

For him is the most pure spring, and for God is his pearls,

He has sincerely turned toward his path.

For his path he has sincerely become prepared.

هو الفرد بل والغوث فانظر تجد له

هو الفرد بل والغوث فانظر تجد له

كواكب أتباعٍ هداهم لقد نما

كواكب أتباعٍ هداهم لقد نما

He is the Peerless One—nay, the Succor; look, and you will find he has

He is the unique one, rather the helper, so look and you will find for him

Stars of followers, whose guidance has indeed grown.

Planets of followers whom he guided and grew.

فحضرته العليا ومجلس ذكره

فحضرته العليا ومجلس ذكره

يخلّص قلب الصبّ من ربقة العمى

يخلّص قلب الصبّ من ربقة العمى

For his exalted presence and his gathering of remembrance

For his most high court and the gathering of his remembrance

Free the ardent lover's heart from the fetter of blindness.

Saves the heart of the youth from the blindness of ignorance.

فبادر له واجل الفؤادَ بورده

فبادر له واجل الفؤادَ بورده

لتشهد سرّ الفتح بالفيض قد همى

لتشهد سرّ الفتح بالفيض قد همى

So hasten to him and polish your heart with his litany,

So take the initiative to him, and make the heart tender with his rose,

To witness the mystery of the opening as it pours down in overflowing grace.

That you may witness the secret of the opening through his overflowing favor.

ويمّم هداك الله منهاجَ رشده

ويمّم هداك الله منهاجَ رشده

لتدعى غنيّاً بعد ما كنت معدما

لتدعى غنيّاً بعد ما كنت معدما

And turn—may God guide you—toward the path of his right guidance,

And let your guidance by God make you tread his path of righteousness,

So you may be called rich after having been destitute.

That you may be called rich after you were destitute.

وقل بانكسارٍ يا ابن صدّيق أحمدٍ

وقل بانكسارٍ يا ابن صدّيق أحمدٍ

بجدّك كن لي عند ما الخطب أدهما

بجدّك كن لي عند ما الخطب أدهما

And say with a broken spirit: O son of Ahmad's Siddiq,

And say with humility: O son of the truthful Ahmad,

By your forefather, stand by me when calamity grows dark.

Through your grandfather be for me a helper when calamities grow dark.

ألا يا ابن صدّيق الحبيب إغاثةً

ألا يا ابن صدّيق الحبيب إغاثةً

لقومٍ لهم من مجد منهاجك اِنْتِما

لقومٍ لهم من مجد منهاجك اِنْتِما

Ah, O son of the Beloved's Siddiq, grant succor

Will you not, O son of the beloved truthful one, be a savior

To a people who belong to the glory of your path.

For a people who hope for the glory of your path?

فمن سار فيه سُرَّ بالسرّ سرُّهُ

فمن سار فيه سُرَّ بالسرّ سرُّهُ

ومن حضرة التقريب حقّاً تقدّما

ومن حضرة التقريب حقّاً تقدّما

For whoever walks it, his inmost heart is gladdened by the mystery,

Whoever walked in it was made happy by the mystery of his secret,

And from the presence of nearness he has truly advanced.

And whoever truly drew near the station of approximation advanced.

فجاه بني الصدّيق فينا مرفّعٌ

فجاه بني الصدّيق فينا مرفّعٌ

فمن يحتمي فيه يصادفُ مغنما

فمن يحتمي فيه يصادفُ مغنما

For the standing of al-Siddiq's sons is exalted among us;

So help, O sons of al-Siddiq, for with us elevated,

So whoever seeks refuge in it finds a reward.

Whoever seeks refuge in him attains bliss.

إلهي بنو الصديق عهدتُنا وهم

إلهي بنو الصديق عهدتُنا وهم

أئمّتنا الساقون كأساً مزمزَما

أئمّتنا الساقون كأساً مزمزَما

My God, the sons of al-Siddiq are our surety, and they are

My God, the sons of al-Siddiq are our covenant and they

Our imams, who offer a cup filled with Zamzam.

Are our leading imams, serving a cup from Zamzam.

هم السادة الغرّ الكرام ومن لهم

هم السادة الغرّ الكرام ومن لهم

سحائب منحٍ بالعوارف سجَّما

سحائب منحٍ بالعوارف سجَّما

They are the radiant, generous masters, and theirs are

They are the generous, noble ones, and for them

Clouds of gifts, pouring down showers of kindness.

Are clouds of gifts through mystic knowledge, inscribed.

ونخبتهم ذو الفضل في الكون مصطفى

ونخبتهم ذو الفضل في الكون مصطفى

إمام الهدى البكري الملاذ الّذي سما

إمام الهدى البكري الملاذ الّذي سما

And their chosen one, endowed with excellence in creation, is Mustafa,

And their elite with abundant virtue in existence is Mustafa,

The imam of guidance, al-Bakri, the refuge who rose on high.

The imam of guidance, al-Bakri, the refuge who rose high.

عليه رضاء الله ما قال منشدٌ

عليه رضاء الله ما قال منشدٌ

حمى السيّد البكري حمى مَن به احتمى

حمى السيّد البكري حمى مَن به احتمى

May God's pleasure rest upon him as long as a reciter chants:

Upon him be the pleasure of God for as long as the reciter says:

The sanctuary of Sayyid al-Bakri protects whoever seeks refuge in him.

The refuge of al-Sayyid al-Bakri is a refuge in which one seeks protection.
