قال لي قائلٌ رأيتُك تهوى

قال لي قائلٌ رأيتُك تهوى

آلَ طه ودائماً ترتجيهم

آلَ طه ودائماً ترتجيهم

Someone said to me, “I have seen you love

One said to me, "I saw you passionately loving

the family of Taha, and always place your hopes in them.

The family of Taha (Muhammad) and always hoping for them

كان حقّاً عليك تستغرق العم

كان حقّاً عليك تستغرق العم

ر بمدحٍ فيهم وفيمن يليهم

ر بمدحٍ فيهم وفيمن يليهم

It was your duty to devote your whole life

It was incumbent upon you to devote yourself

to praising them and those who follow them.”

To praising them and those who come after them"

قلت ماذا أقول والخلق طرّاً

قلت ماذا أقول والخلق طرّاً

تستمدّ العطاء من أيديهم

تستمدّ العطاء من أيديهم

I said, “What can I say, when all creation

I said, "What can I say, when all mankind

draws its bounty from their hands?

Derives bounty from their hands?

أنا لا أستطيع أمدح قوماً

أنا لا أستطيع أمدح قوماً

كان جبريل خادماً لأبيهم

كان جبريل خادماً لأبيهم

I cannot praise a people

I cannot praise people

whose father had Gabriel as his servant.”

For whom Gabriel was a servant to their father"
