إنّي على حبّي أمين

في كنز أحشائي كمين

Indeed, I am faithful to my love,

I am faithful to my love,

Hidden in the treasure of my innermost being.

Hidden treasure inside me.

إنّي أنا كنز أَحَب

إنّي أنا كنز أَحَب

والدرّ من دمعي سكب

والدرّ من دمعي سكب

Indeed, I myself am a most beloved treasure,

I am a treasure of love,

And pearls are poured forth from my tears.

Pearls spilling from my tears.

فانظر ترى صبري ذهب

فانظر ترى صبري ذهب

في الحبّ لي عقدٌ ثمين

في الحبّ لي عقدٌ ثمين

So look, and you will see my patience is gold;

See how my patience is gold,

In love, I have a precious necklace.

A precious necklace is my love.

بدري بليل الأنس لاح

بدري بليل الأنس لاح

يُجلَى ويَجلي شمس راح

يُجلَى ويَجلي شمس راح

My full moon shone in the night of intimacy,

My full moon rose in the night of intimacy,

Unveiled, it unveils a sun of wine,

Dispelling darkness, bringing light.

بحباب نجمٍ في الصباح

بحباب نجمٍ في الصباح

غرام سكر المغرمين

غرام سكر المغرمين

With a star's bubbles in the morning:

With the bubbles of a morning star,

Passion is the intoxication of lovers.

Is the sweet drunkenness of lovers.

سكرت من حبّي به

سكرت من حبّي به

قبل المدام وشربه

قبل المدام وشربه

I grew drunk from my love for him,

I was drunk with love for him,

Before wine and the drinking of it.

Before the wine and its drinking,

والراح صُبَّ لصبّه

والراح صُبَّ لصبّه

فصبا بهفي العالمين

فصبا بهفي العالمين

And wine was poured for his ardent lover;

The wind blew for its pouring,

So he grew enamored of him in all the worlds.

So it overflowed onto the two worlds.

عنّي خذوا حكم الغرام

عنّي خذوا حكم الغرام

وبي اقتدوا فأنا الإمام

وبي اقتدوا فأنا الإمام

Take from me the law of passion,

Take from me the rule of passion,

And follow my example, for I am the leader.

And follow me, for I am the Imam.

وصفا مدامي للندام

وصفا مدامي للندام

من خمرةٍ للشاربين

من خمرةٍ للشاربين

And my wine grew clear for the drinking companions,

Describing my wine for the repentant,

From a wine for those who drink.

From a wine for the drinkers.

منهاج حالي في الثرى

منهاج حالي في الثرى

منهاج من يهدي الورى

منهاج من يهدي الورى

The path of my state on earth

My way in life,

Is the path of him who guides humankind:

The way of one who guides creation.

المصطفى العالي الذرى

المصطفى العالي الذرى

ذي الجاه خير المرسلين

ذي الجاه خير المرسلين

Al-Mustafa, of lofty heights,

The Most High, the Noblest,

Possessor of eminence, the best of messengers.

The Best of Messengers.

صلّى عليه الله ما

صلّى عليه الله ما

هبّ الصبا مسلّما

هبّ الصبا مسلّما

May God bless him as long as

May God bless him, as long as

The east wind blows, offering greetings,

The morning breeze blows in surrender.

وآله أهل الحمى

وآله أهل الحمى

وصحبه والتابعين

وصحبه والتابعين

And his family, the people of the sanctuary,

And his family, the people of zeal,

And his companions and the followers;

His companions, and followers.

ما ذو هيامٍ قد شدا

ما ذو هيامٍ قد شدا

بسكره معربدا

بسكره معربدا

As long as one consumed by love sings,

The passions of those in love,

Riotous in his intoxication,

Intoxicated by his sweetness, coherent.

فصحا بأنوار الهدى

فصحا بأنوار الهدى

وأشرق الفتح المبين

وأشرق الفتح المبين

Then sobers through the lights of guidance,

As the lights of guidance shone,

And the manifest victory shines forth.

And the clear conquest emerged.
