دِنْ للأبوين وبرّهما

واصبر لأداء حقوقهما

Obey your parents and honor them.

Be dutiful to your parents and take good care of them

And persevere in fulfilling their rights.

And be patient in fulfilling their rights

فالجنّة والنار اندرجا

فالجنّة والنار اندرجا

في برّهما وعقوقهما

في برّهما وعقوقهما

For Paradise and Hell are encompassed

For Paradise and Hellfire lie

in honoring them and being undutiful to them.

In serving them well or treating them wrong
