يا ربّي بالصديق مولانا العتيقِ

يا ربّي بالصديق مولانا العتيقِ

حاوي البها والفضل والعلم الحقيقِ

حاوي البها والفضل والعلم الحقيقِ

O my Lord, by al-Siddiq, our master al-‘Atiq,

O my Lord, give to our sincere friend

possessor of splendor, virtue, and true knowledge,

Possessor of kindness, excellence and true knowledge

فرّج إله العرش عنّا كلّ ضيق

فرّج إله العرش عنّا كلّ ضيق

وألطف بنا يا ربّنا في كلّ حال

وألطف بنا يا ربّنا في كلّ حال

O God of the Throne, relieve us of every distress,

Relieve us, God of the Throne, from every hardship

and be gentle with us, O our Lord, in every state.

And bestow Your grace upon us always, our Lord

وبنجله البكريّ ذي العلم اللدنّي

وبنجله البكريّ ذي العلم اللدنّي

ومن سقى أهل النقا من صافي دَنّ

ومن سقى أهل النقا من صافي دَنّ

And by his descendant al-Bakri, endowed with divinely imparted knowledge,

And upon Your firstborn son of eternal knowledge

and by him who gave the people of purity clear wine from a jar,

Who quenched with the pure those longing for truth

ومن سما أهل الحمى في كلّ فنّ

ومن سما أهل الحمى في كلّ فنّ

ومن علا بين الملا أوج المعالي

ومن علا بين الملا أوج المعالي

and by him who surpassed the people of the sanctuary in every discipline,

And gave drink to the fevered in every art

and by him who rose among the people to the summit of glory,

Excelling amid scholars in the heights of glory

يا ربّي وامنح جمعنا كشف الحجابِ

يا ربّي وامنح جمعنا كشف الحجابِ

ورد لنا في وِردنا أحلى الشراب

ورد لنا في وِردنا أحلى الشراب

O my Lord, grant our gathering the lifting of the veil,

O my Lord, grant us to rend the veil

and bring us the sweetest drink in our devotional litany,

And at our retreat provide the sweetest drink

وافتح لنا من السلوك خير بابِ

وافتح لنا من السلوك خير بابِ

واختم لنا بالخير يا مولى الموالي

واختم لنا بالخير يا مولى الموالي

and open for us the best gate of spiritual wayfaring,

Open for us the best path of the mystic way

and make our ending good, O Master of masters.

And seal for us with goodness, O Lord of Lords
