My God, You are beyond the hope of one who hopes.
My God, You are above the hopes of the hopeful one,
And You give him a reward without any deed.
And grant him without work a rewarded one.

And I hope for the forgiveness of a sin,
So grant me repentance before I meet You.
So grant me before I meet You in repentance.

And indeed, pardon for a sinner’s lapses—
Indeed, pardoning the sins of an offender,
the Lord, merciful to him, deems it obligatory.
The Merciful Master sees it as a duty.

Just as gracious forgiveness of misdeeds
Just as beautiful forgiveness for the equal
is dearer to the Generous One than punishment.
Is more beloved to the Generous than punishment.
