وقضى بالعلوّ عزّاً لدينِكْ

The decree went forth beforehand in Your creation,

and ordained supremacy as glory for Your faith.

كيف ترضى بخفضه اليوم حاشا

كيف ترضى بخفضه اليوم حاشا

وله الرفع من سنا تعيينك

وله الرفع من سنا تعيينك

How could You consent to its abasement today? Far be it!

And its exaltation comes from the radiance of Your ordaining.

قد بنى الفتح ركنه باعتزازٍ

قد بنى الفتح ركنه باعتزازٍ

شيد بالنصر في حمى تمكينك

شيد بالنصر في حمى تمكينك

Victory has proudly built its pillar,

raised high through triumph in the sanctuary of Your enabling power.

كلمة الحقّ قد جعلت هي العل

كلمة الحقّ قد جعلت هي العل

يا بنصٍّ نتلوه في تبيينك

يا بنصٍّ نتلوه في تبيينك

You have made the word of truth supreme,

by a text we recite in Your exposition:

نصرة المؤمنين حقّاً علينا

نصرة المؤمنين حقّاً علينا

قلت هذا مخاطباً لمكينك

قلت هذا مخاطباً لمكينك

“Helping the believers is truly incumbent upon Us.”

You said this, addressing Your honored one.

ليس ما كان ثمّ ذلّ ولكن

ليس ما كان ثمّ ذلّ ولكن

قد قضته تجليات شؤونك

قد قضته تجليات شؤونك

What happened there was not humiliation; rather,

the manifestations of Your workings had decreed it.

ربّ فامنح أُهيلَ دينك فتحاً

ربّ فامنح أُهيلَ دينك فتحاً

وتولّ انتصارَه بيمينك

وتولّ انتصارَه بيمينك

Lord, then grant the humble folk of Your faith victory,

and secure its triumph with Your right hand.

ربّ مزّق أعداءه ثمّ فرّق

ربّ مزّق أعداءه ثمّ فرّق

جمعهم باقتحام أُسدِ عرينك

جمعهم باقتحام أُسدِ عرينك

Lord, tear its enemies apart, then scatter

their host through the onslaught of the lions of Your lair.

خان كلٌّ وحان ذلٌّ ولكن

خان كلٌّ وحان ذلٌّ ولكن

بأمانٍ للدين جد بأمينك

بأمانٍ للدين جد بأمينك

All have proved faithless, and humiliation is at hand; yet

grant safety to the faith through Your trusted one.

فعليه الصلاة ما صارمُ النص

ر تحلّى بجيد جيش مشينك

So blessings be upon him, so long as the keen sword of victory

adorns itself with the neck of Your reviler’s army;

وعلى الآل والصحابة ما جا

وعلى الآل والصحابة ما جا

ءك يدعو بالفتح قلبُ حزينك

ءك يدعو بالفتح قلبُ حزينك

and upon his family and companions, so long as there comes

to You, praying for victory, the heart of Your sorrowing one.
