جلوس سلطاننا المسعود طالعه

عيدٌ كبيرٌ له في الملك تأييدُ

عيدٌ كبيرٌ له في الملك تأييدُ

The accession of our sultan, whose star is auspicious,

Is a great festival, strengthening his sovereignty.

أبشر وبشّر إذا ما أرخوه وطب

أبشر وبشّر إذا ما أرخوه وطب

فالدهر أشرق والسلطان محمودُ

فالدهر أشرق والسلطان محمودُ

Rejoice and spread glad tidings when they record its date, and be of good cheer:

For time has grown radiant, and the sultan is Mahmud.
